Red Fox Inn & Tavern

Middleburg, Virginia

Established in 1728, The Red Fox Inn & Tavern is considered America’s oldest continuously operating inn. And it truly feels like stepping back in time to simpler days spent on horseback. The stone walls, equine oil paintings, and glowing hearths create a classic atmosphere that is deeply romantic in any season. Ceremonies in the courtyard gardens, surrounded by manicured boxwoods and historic stonework, feel timeless and intimate. This location is perfect for couples who love the iconic Ralph Lauren aesthetic. And you’ll love their thoughtfully curated plan for wedding weekends (one even includes a hunting country twist, complete with vintage Land Rover tours!).

Features of the Red Fox Inn & Tavern

  • Accommodates up to 120 guests
  • On-site accommodations for full wedding weekends
  • Multiple indoor and outdoor event spaces
  • Courtyard gardens
  • One of the country’s oldest inns

The Inn at Little Washington

Washington, VA

The Inn at Little Washington is in a class of its own. Home to a two-Michelin-star restaurant and two-Michelin-key accommodations, this venue blends maximalist luxury with whimsical charm. Every detail has been thought of. Think silk lampshades, immersive murals, and impeccable service. The Field of Dreams ceremony site is especially breathtaking, with Blue Ridge Mountain views and a meadow setting that glows beautifully at sunset. With historic residences for overnight stays and personalized menus crafted by their renowned chef, it’s an ideal venue for a slow-paced, highly curated wedding weekend.

Features of The Inn at Little Washington

Rust Manor House

Leesburg, VA

Set within a 68-acre nature sanctuary, Rust Manor House feels like a private estate where garden elegance meets peaceful woodland surroundings. The century-old manor offers a quieter feel while still providing curated spaces like the library and parlor. Couples can choose from several ceremony locations, from a lawn aisle in the open air to a garden setting with native Virginia flora. End the night with a classic sailcloth-tented reception under the lush trees.

Features of the Rust Manor House

  • Accommodates up to 200 guests
  • 68-acre nature sanctuary
  • In-house catering services
  • Indoor and outdoor spaces
  • Library and parlor settings

Goodstone Inn

Middleburg, VA

This location feels secluded in the most romantic way. Find 265 acres of rolling hills, farm fields, and countryside cottages in the heart of Virginia’s horse and wine country at the Goodstone Inn. This property has over three centuries of history, but one of my favorite locations is the iconic Ivy Wall, the facade of the original mansion that burned down in 1927, now covered in lush ivy to form a stunning archway backdrop. Tented receptions overlooking the rolling landscape feel especially magical, and with 18 historic suites across multiple buildings, full buyouts create an unforgettable wedding weekend escape.

Features of the Goodstone Inn

  • Accommodates up to 300 guests
  • 265 acres
  • Overnight accommodations
  • In-house catering service
  • Full buyouts available
  • 18 suites in multiple buildings
